Unveiling the 15^th Iran Stone Expo: A Premier Showcase of Natural Stone Collections

For the 15^th time, the ISE will be held in Mahallat/Nimvar of Iran from 10 to 13^th October 2023. This is the most progressive and focused event in the sector in Iran. Last year we hosted more than 500 quarries to showcase more than 30 thousand tons of Blocks in this trade fair.

Every year, we manage to bring more blocks from Marble, Travertine and Onyx quarries to the Expo. We believe this is a unique opportunity both for suppliers and for buyers to meet each other in a professional environment. Every year we are hosting more and more international participants.

This year, as well, we are bringing quarry owners and factories together. Machinery and relevant sectors are also present. In the vicinity, a seminar/workshop will be organized that will bring scientific and business lecturers to present their viewpoints.

Economy in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan possesses abundant natural resources. Its major exports include agricultural products, raw materials, chemical products, and manufactured goods. Privatization of state-owned industries was undertaken during the 1990s. In 1994 Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan formed an economic union, later joined in 1998 by Tajikistan, that enabled free movement of labour and capital among the countries and established coordinated economic policies. The union gradually gave way to what became the Eurasian Economic Union, consisting of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.

Why Saudi Arabia:

Saudi Arabia’s economic freedom score is 55.5, making its economy the 118th freest in the 2022 Index. Saudi Arabia is ranked 9th among 14 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region, and its overall score is below the regional and world averages. The Saudi Arabian economy was gaining strength five years ago before slowing in 2019 and then contracting in 2020. Growth resumed in 2021. Economic freedom has fluctuated over the past five years. Dragged down by sharply lower scores for fiscal health, judicial effectiveness, and property rights, the kingdom has recorded a substantial 8.9-point overall loss of economic freedom since 2017 and is now near the middle of the “Mostly Unfree” category. Generous state subsidies have been accompanied by light taxation, but government integrity and financial freedom have lagged.

Riyadh, Arabic Al-Riyad, city and capital of Saudi Arabia. The city’s name is derived from the plural of the Arabic rawdah, meaning gardens or meadows, so named for a natural fertility provided by its location at the juncture of Wadis Hanifah and Al-Batha. Why Spain:

Spain is a storied country of stone castles, snowcapped mountains, vast monuments, and sophisticated cities, all of which have made it a favored travel destination. The country is geographically and culturally diverse. Its heartland is the Meseta, a broad central plateau half a mile above sea level. Much of the region is traditionally given over to cattle ranching and grain production; it was in this rural setting that Miguel de Cervantes’s Don Quixote tilted at the tall windmills that still dot the landscape in several places.

Spain’s economic freedom score is 68.2, making its economy the 41st freest in the 2022 Index. Spain is ranked 26th among 45 countries in the Europe region, and its overall score is below the regional average but above the world average. Economic growth in Spain slowed from 2017 through 2019. The economy contracted in 2020, and growth resumed in 2021. During the same five-year period, economic freedom has improved. Lifted by higher scores for rule of law and business freedom, Spain has recorded a 4.6-point overall gain in economic freedom since 2017 and is in the upper half of the “Mostly Free” category. Monetary freedom and trade freedom are strong, but heavy government spending and poor fiscal health weigh on the economy.

The natural stone sector was severely affected by the national construction sector crisis. Production, both exworks and processed, has been also harshly affected dropping from 8Mt/y in 2007 to 3,49Mt/y in 2015, particularly in the marble and granite sectors, since slate has always been a mainly exporting sub-sector. In the latest times, thanks mainly to exports, production apparently has slowly started to recover.

Over the past decade, the international stone industry has seen some dramatic changes. In the American marketplace, stone has moved into the mainstream, and it is being used at almost every level of the building trade. The trade has grown tremendously, and as a result, virtually every sector of the industry — from importers to fabricators and installers — has changed the way it does business.

In the commercial sector, stone is still a staple for designs where the goal is to impart a feeling of quality, and it is being used extensively for interior and exterior applications. But the biggest changes are being seen in the residential sector. Stone is no longer limited to wealthy homeowners.
