13th Stone Mart fair, Jaipur-India 5-8 February 2026

Why India:

It is known from archaeological evidence that a highly sophisticated urbanized culture—the Indus civilization—dominated the northwestern part of the subcontinent from about 2600 to 2000 BCE. From that period on, India functioned as a virtually self-contained political and cultural arena, which gave rise to a distinctive tradition that was associated primarily with Hinduism, the roots of which can largely be traced to the Indus civilization. Other religions, notably Buddhism and Jainism, originated in India—though their presence there is now quite small—and throughout the centuries residents of the subcontinent developed a rich intellectual life in such fields as mathematics, astronomy, architecture, literature, music, and the fine arts.

India’s economic freedom score is 53.9, making its economy the 131st freest in the 2022 Index. India is ranked 27th among 39 countries in the Asia–Pacific region, and its overall score is below the regional and world averages. India’s economic growth has slowed somewhat over the past five years, turning negative in 2020 but recovering in 2021. Before a dip this year, the country had been benefitting from small but steady annual increases in economic freedom. With increases in scores for judicial effectiveness, business freedom, and labor freedom outweighing a deterioration in fiscal health, India has recorded a 1.3-point overall gain of economic freedom since 2017 and remains in the middle ranks of the “Mostly Unfree” category. Monetary freedom is solid, but investment freedom and financial freedom lag.
India, country that occupies the greater part of South Asia. Its capital is New Delhi, built in the 20th century just south of the historic hub of Old Delhi to serve as India’s administrative centre. Its government is a constitutional republic that represents a highly diverse population consisting of thousands of ethnic groups and likely hundreds of languages. With roughly one-sixth of the world’s total population, India is the second most populous country, after China.

India is also amongst the largest producer of raw stone material and the sector is quite developed and vibrant in the South, as well as in Rajasthan and Gujarat, with a dedicated resource of entrepreneurs. India also has an indigenous resource of machinery and tool manufacturers which cater well to the demands of this sector. The Indian stone industry has evolved into the production and manufacturing of blocks, flooring slabs, structural slabs, calibrated – ready to fix tiles, monuments, tomb stones, sculptures, artifacts, cobbles, cubes, kerbs, pebbles and landscape garden stones.

CIHAC Construction Industry Expo, Mexico city-Mexico 09-11 Oct 2024

Why Mexico:

Mexico, country of southern North America and the third largest country in Latin America, after Brazil and Argentina. Mexican society is characterized by extremes of wealth and poverty, with a limited middle class wedged between an elite cadre of landowners and investors on the one hand and masses of rural and urban poor on the other. But in spite of the challenges it faces as a developing country, Mexico is one of the chief economic and political forces in Latin America. It has a dynamic industrial base, vast mineral resources, a wide-ranging service sector, and the world’s largest population of Spanish speakers—about two and a half times that of Spain or Colombia.

Mexico’s economic freedom score is 63.7, making its economy the 67th freest in the 2022 Index. Mexico is ranked 14th among 32 countries in the Americas region, and its overall score is above the regional and world averages. The Mexican economy grew slowly in 2017 and 2018, contracted in 2019 and more deeply in 2020, and returned to growth in 2021. During those five years, a trend of middling economic freedom has continued. With minor score changes across all 12 indicators, Mexico has recorded a negligible 0.1-point overall gain of economic freedom since 2017 and remains trapped in the middle ranks of the “Moderately Unfree” countries. Fiscal health, trade freedom, and investment freedom are relatively strong, but Mexico’s long-time, very feeble rule of law does not befit the second-largest economy in Latin America.

Mexico is a large exporter of mining minerals and ores with a trade balance in surplus by USD 12.25 billion in 2020. The sector’s imports have also grown over 10 percent annually since 2017. Mexican exports of minerals and ores totaled USD 15.6 billion in 2020. Mexico’s total exports of mineral ores have been growing steadily at 5.8 percent since 2017.

Marmo+mac Stone fair, Verona-Italy 24-27 September 2024

Why Italy:

Italy, country of south-central Europe, occupying a peninsula that juts deep into the Mediterranean Sea. Italy comprises some of the most varied and scenic landscapes on Earth and is often described as a country shaped like a boot. At its broad top stand the Alps, which are among the world’s most rugged mountains. Italy’s highest points are along Monte Rosa, which peaks in Switzerland, and along Mont Blanc, which peaks in France. The western Alps overlook a landscape of Alpine lakes and glacier-carved valleys that stretch down to the Po River and the Piedmont. Tuscany, to the south of the cisalpine region, is perhaps the country’s best-known region. From the central Alps, running down the length of the country, radiates the tall Apennine Range, which widens near Rome to cover nearly the entire width of the Italian peninsula. South of Rome the Apennines narrow and are flanked by two wide coastal plains, one facing the Tyrrhenian Sea and the other the Adriatic Sea.

Italy’s economic freedom score is 65.4, making its economy the 57th freest in the 2022 Index. Italy is ranked 33rd among 45 countries in the Europe region, and its overall score is below the regional average but above the world average. The Italian economy slowed from 2017 through 2019, contracted in 2020, and resumed growth in 2021. A five-year trend of generally improving economic freedom has continued. Led by notable jumps in scores for rule of law (property rights, judicial effectiveness, and government integrity), Italy has posted an overall 2.9-point gain in economic freedom since 2017 and has climbed into the top half of the “Moderately Free” category. Monetary freedom, trade freedom, and investment freedom are strong, but the economy remains heavily burdened by government spending.

Italy has always shown a wonderful and rich variety of marbles and stones that inspired artisans, sculptors and architects throughout history. These materials have been stimulating different original projecting and productive cultures, shaping both local identities and global awareness: a doubtless example of this is the never-ending international success of the travertine or of the Carrara marble, seen as symbols of Italy itself.

About Fair:

“Marmomac is now the landmark meeting platform for international natural stone system professionals, where Italy plays a leading role.

29th Marble Fair, Izmir-Turkey 17-20 April 2024

Why Turkey:

Turkey, country that occupies a unique geographic position, lying partly in Asia and partly in Europe. Throughout its history it has acted as both a barrier and a bridge between the two continents.
Turkey is situated at the crossroads of the Balkans, Caucasus, Middle East, and eastern Mediterranean. It is among the larger countries of the region in terms of territory and population, and its land area is greater than that of any European state. Nearly all of the country is in Asia, comprising the oblong peninsula of Asia Minor—also known as Anatolia (Anadolu)—and, in the east, part of a mountainous region sometimes known as the Armenian Highland. The remainder—Turkish Thrace (Trakya)—lies in the extreme southeastern part of Europe, a tiny remnant of an empire that once extended over much of the Balkans.

Turkey’s economic freedom score is 56.9, making its economy the 107th freest in the 2022 Index. Turkey is ranked 42nd among 45 countries in the Europe region, and its overall score is below the regional and world averages. The Turkish economy grew slowly from 2017 through 2020 but picked up in 2021. Unfortunately, a five-year trend of gradually declining economic freedom has accelerated. Dragged down by sharp decreases in scores for fiscal health and rule of law, Turkey’s economic freedom has plummeted 8.3 points since 2017, and the country has fallen from the “Moderately Free” category to the “Mostly Unfree” category. Trade freedom and investment freedom are highlights, but monetary freedom has deteriorated.

We are supplying various Turkish natural stones from quarries all over Turkey, inspect the production process and ensure a flawless delivery to you. Aside from slabs and tiles, we also supply rough blocks, steps, cut to size material, mosaic, water jet cut patterns and cover your projects’ every need.
Turkey is one of the leading countries in terms of marble production and the history of marble quarries dates as far as 4.000 years ago.
Turkey is famous for its “Classic Travertine” with beige / light brown color and homogenous structure. It’s a highly durable stone, resists strongly to sunlight and weather conditions. IT’s Limestone Collection covers different colors, from white to green and Onyx is among the most exotic natural stones used in architecture. Technically it’s a semi precious stone, bringing the glamour of the jewelry into your projects.

About Fair:

Izmir Marble Fair, one of the most important fairs of the world in the natural stone sector, will open its door to the whole world for the 27th time on 2022. Through the platform we have created together with 16 NGOs related to the mining sector, we contribute to the establishment of the right grounds in public authorities by forming the common views of the sector. We will endeavor to fulfill our duties and responsibilities to the maximum extent in order to maintain this unity in 2022 as well. Izmir Marble Fair set its moto for 2022 as “Production and export against all odds.”

21st Stone Fair, Vitoria -Brazil 30 January -02 February 2024

Why Brazil:

Brazil is the fifth most-populous country on Earth and accounts for one-third of Latin America’s population. Most of the inhabitants of Brazil are concentrated along the eastern seaboard, although its capital, Brasília, is located far inland and increasing numbers of migrants are moving to the interior. Rio de Janeiro, in the eyes of many of the world, continues to be the preeminent icon of Brazil. The nation’s burgeoning cities, huge hydroelectric and industrial complexes, mines, and fertile farmlands make it one of the world’s major economies. However, Brazil struggles with extreme social inequalities, environmental degradationintermittent financial crises, and a sometimes deadlocked political system.

Brazil’s economic freedom score is 53.3, making its economy the 133rd freest in the 2022 Index. Brazil is ranked 26th among 32 countries in the Americas region, and its overall score is below the regional and world averages. Brazil’s economic growth slowed in 2019, turned negative in 2020, and rebounded in 2021. Its level of economic freedom has changed little over the past five years. Led by modest score increases in labor freedom and government integrity, Brazil has recorded a mere 0.4-point overall gain in economic freedom since 2017 and remains in the lower ranks of the “Mostly Unfree” countries. Monetary freedom is relatively good, but its fiscal health is among the world’s worst.

At a time when the natural stone industry is facing unprecedented challenges, there is severe competition from new alternative materials, new competitors from other countries, the pandemic, economic turmoil in many markets, it comes as somewhat of a surprise that there is one country, a major player in the world of natural stone, that is showing turbocharged growth. New quarries, profitable growth in sales, especially exports, major investments by companies, a growing local ecosystem of suppliers of all kinds of inputs, upgrading of local skills, relatively young people running the companies, a generally optimistic outlook towards the industry’s future in the country- all the parameters that define an industry with a promising future, are fulfilled in this case. That is what the situation of the Brazilian stone industry currently is during the middle of 2021- call it the Golden Age, and this definition does not look an exaggeration.

3rd International Natural Stone And Coverings Show, Jakarta-Indonesi 6-8 June 2024

Why Indonesia:

India, country that occupies the greater part of South Asia. Its capital is New Delhi, built in the 20th century just south of the historic hub of Old Delhi to serve as India’s administrative center. Its government is a constitutional republic that represents a highly diverse population consisting of thousands of ethnic groups and likely hundreds of languages. With roughly one-sixth of the world’s total population, India is the second most populous country, after China.

Indonesia’s economic freedom score is 64.4, making its economy the 63rd freest in the 2022 Index. Indonesia is ranked 10th among 39 countries in the Asia–Pacific region, and its overall score is above the regional and world averages. Indonesia’s economy was growing from 2017 through 2019 before a downturn in 2020. A recovery in 2021 pulled the five-year average annual growth rate to 3.6 percent. Economic freedom in Indonesia climbed from 2017 until 2020. Although the downward slide that began in 2020 continues this year, the overall expansion of economic freedom over the past five years is still positive. With score increases in business freedom and labor freedom, Indonesia has recorded a 2.5-point overall gain of economic freedom since 2017 and remains in the middle ranks of the “Moderately Free” countries. The weight of government spending on the economy is light, but rule of law is relatively weak.

About the Fair:

Jakarta Stone Fair is a platform for staying up to date for the latest technologies and developments in natural stone sector. Beside of building network with thousands of industry specialists, companies will have the chance to arrange B2B meetings with the buyer committees from Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Malaysia and India. As Indonesia’s real estate market has experienced growth in recent decades, the demand for building materials has skyrocketed. The domestic market for both the industrial and retail segment is thriving, with Indonesia’s key players rapidly expanding production capacity of high-demand materials such as concrete and metals. Inflation is high for imported building materials and infrastructure challenges make transporting materials logistically challenging.
